On 25 January 2026, in Etrek district, Balkan province, the ceremonial opening of a new service residential building for the officers of the Balkan Regional Customs took place, timed to coincide with the Nation’s Defenders Day.

The four-story building, comprising 24 apartments, was constructed according to modern comfort standards. The surrounding area has been landscaped, and children’s playgrounds have been created. All apartments feature spacious, well-lit rooms that meet contemporary requirements, ensuring a high standard of living for the employees and their families. Customs officers receiving the keys expressed their readiness to continue serving faithfully their homeland, the President, and the Honorable Arkadag. During the ceremony, builders who contributed to the project were presented with commemorative gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

The conditions and opportunities being created for customs officers clearly demonstrate how the President’s words regarding the further improvement of living and service conditions for military personnel are becoming a reality.
