On 1–2 October 2025, a seminar titled “WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation: Categorization and Prioritization” was held at the Training Centre under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The event was organized within the framework of the “Turkmenistan: Trade Resilience and Integration” program, supported by the European Union and the International Trade Centre, with the participation of international experts.

Participants discussed the main provisions of the WTO Agreement, issues related to the categorization of commitments, the implementation of modern customs administration tools, and the importance of inter-agency cooperation for effective trade facilitation.

Based on the outcomes of the seminar, priority reform areas and measures were identified to prepare Turkmenistan for accession to the World Trade Organization.
