On 11–12 June 2025, the 13th Meeting of the Regional Training Centers of the WCO Europe Region was successfully held at the premises of the WCO Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB Europe) in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting provided a platform to discuss the current state of regional cooperation, share best practices, review international training programs, and define strategic priorities for the Regional Training Centers going forward.

Representing Turkmenistan, Mr. Guvanchmurat Muradov, Director of the Training Center of the State Customs Service, participated in the meeting. In his remarks, he highlighted that during the WCO Europe Region Heads of Customs Meeting held in Brussels on 29–30 April 2025, the proposal to designate the Ashgabat-based Training Center as a WCO Regional Training Center was unanimously supported. He also noted that the Center is currently working on the development and implementation of internationally-oriented training programs. Turkmenistan reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the modernization of the regional customs system in line with the WCO’s development objectives.
