President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, and velayat khyakims to consider issues related to development of the agricultural complex, as well as the progress of seasonal work in the country’s regions.

The floor was first given to the Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the state of affairs in the region.

As was reported, at present, wheat sowing continues in an organized manner in the fields of the velayat, and agricultural machinery is effectively operated. In the sown areas, vegetative irrigation is carried out, and even sprouts appear.

Measures are also taken to increase the pace of harvesting cotton without losses and within a short period of time. In particular, defoliation is carried out for efficient operation of combine harvesters. Payments to cotton growers for the delivered harvest are made in a timely manner.

In view of the upcoming winter season, proper preparation of the heating systems of schools, kindergartens, rural hospitals, as well as residential buildings is well underway.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the construction progress at social, cultural and industrial facilities in the velayat, the commissioning of which is planned for the current year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the seasonal field campaigns in progress today, and gave the khyakim a number of specific instructions related to sowing winter wheat on time, complying with agricultural standards in the treatment of sown areas, as well as increasing the cotton harvesting pace.

The head of state ordered to keep under control the quality of construction work at various facilities to be opened this year.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, winter wheat is sown in the fields of the region in accordance with the established requirements. The necessary measures are taken to achieve even sprouting, in particular, vegetative irrigation is carried out. At the same time, agricultural machinery is operated at full capacity.

Appropriate work is underway in the velayat to organize the cotton harvest campaign in a proper manner, made timely payments to farmers for the gathered seed cotton. In addition, cotton fields are defoliated.

Along with this, preparations of the heating systems of educational and cultural buildings, public facilities and residential buildings for the winter season are in full swing.

The report included information on the construction pace of facilities for various purposes planned for commissioning this year as part of the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized that the critical season in agriculture is currently ongoing. In this regard, the khyakim was instructed to keep under strict control the progress of wheat sowing in accordance with agro-technical deadlines, as well as work on caring for crops, providing vegetative irrigation and harvesting cotton without losses.

Along with this, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a number of instructions in relation to ensuring high quality construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities ongoing under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program, which are scheduled for commissioning this year.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with a report given by Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, wheat sowing is carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards. The necessary measures are taken in the sown areas to achieve even sprouting, and the relevant machinery and equipment are operated effectively.

Work is under way to increase the cotton harvest pace and efficiently operate combine harvesters and other special equipment. Defoliation of fields is carried out to gather cotton within a short period of time and without losses using combine harvesters, as well as made timely payments to producers for delivered seed cotton.

Moreover, rice harvesting has started in the velayat, and the grown crop is gathered in accordance with the established requirements.

The heating systems of educational, cultural, administrative and social facilities and residential buildings have been repaired on a systematic basis, and are fully prepared for the season.

In addition, the report covered the situation in the construction sites of the velayat, where the facilities are to be commissioned this year as part of the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov specified that high-quality completion of agricultural work is the most important requirement, and gave the khyakim a number of specific instructions to ensure strict control over wheat sowing within agro-technical terms, gathering seed cotton without loss and within the shortest possible timeframe, as well as organized rice harvesting.

Furthermore, the head of state ordered to ensure high quality construction of facilities for various purposes in the region, which must be commissioned this year.

Then Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiev reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region.

As was reported, the velayat is carrying out coordinated work for timely completion of wheat sowing, vegetative irrigation, and operating agricultural machinery and equipment at full capacity to achieve even sprouting.

The harvest season continues in the cotton fields of the region. The necessary measures are taken to accelerate the pace of cotton harvesting to complete it within the shortest possible time and without losses. In particular, defoliation is carried out for more productive operation of combine harvesters. Timely payments are made to producers for seed cotton delivered to the state.

Along with this, appropriate measures are taken for an organized rice harvest.

The heating systems of educational and cultural institutions, administrative and public buildings and the residential sector are fully prepared for the autumn-winter season.

The khyakim’s report also covered the construction progress at various facilities to be put into operation in the velayat this year.

Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized that an important present-day requirement is the high-quality completion of seasonal agricultural work in accordance with agro-technical standards. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan ordered to keep under strict control the pace of sowing and care for wheat sprouts, issues of organizational conduct of the cotton harvest campaign, smooth work of the machinery to be operated in rice harvesting, and gave the khyakim a number of specific instructions.

Instructions were also given to ensure high quality of construction work at social, cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the velayat this year.

Then Mary Velayat Khyakim B. Orazov reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region.

As was reported, currently, wheat is sown in the fields in accordance with the established requirements, and vegetative irrigation is under way in the sown areas, where even sprouting has been already achieved. Steps are taken to ensure proper operation of agricultural machinery.

The necessary work is carried out to continue the cotton harvest campaign in an organized manner and increase its pace, as well to defoliate fields for gathering crop using combine harvesters.

In order to fulfill the objectives set by the President of Turkmenistan to strengthen food abundance and provide the population with agricultural products, preparations are underway for harvesting sugar beets in the velayat.

The report also covered measures for the proper operation of heating systems of buildings and facilities of the velayat in the winter season, in particular, the residential sector, educational and cultural institutions, administrative and public buildings.

Furthermore, the khyakim reported on the construction progress of facilities for various purposes to be commissioned in the velayat this year.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of organized and timely completion of current agricultural operations. The head of state ordered to keep under strict control the wheat sowing within agro-technical terms, proper care for crops, harvesting the grown cotton crop without loss to the last boll, as well as preparation for the sugar beets harvest, and gave the khyakim a number of specific instructions.

In addition, instructions were given to ensure high quality of construction work at socio-cultural and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the velayat this year under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, reported on the progress of agricultural work throughout the country.

As was reported, to lay the foundations for next year’s crop, wheat sowing continues in the regions of the Homeland. The sown fields are treated with mineral fertilizers. Along with this, the final phase of vegetative irrigation of sown areas is carried out in the Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary Velayats, as well as pre-sowing irrigation of fields in the Dashoguz Velayat.

In addition, the necessary measures are taken for gathering seed cotton within a short period of time, round-the-clock operation of collection points and cotton ginning plants, and timely payments to cotton growers for the delivered harvest.

The deputy prime minister also informed that rice harvesting has started in the Dashoguz Velayat. The Lebap and Mary Velayats are preparing to begin rice and sugar beets harvesting, respectively.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the ongoing seasonal agricultural work and instructed the deputy prime minister to keep under strict control the issues related to sowing wheat within the established agro-technical timeframe, treating sown areas in compliance with agro-technical standards, as well as harvesting the cotton crop as soon as possible and without losses.

At the same time, the head of state ordered to ensure timely harvesting of vegetables, watermelons, melons and other agricultural crops, and the proper treatment of areas sown for next year’s crop.

Then, addressing the working meeting participants, the President of Turkmenistan specified that the most important requirement is the compliance with agro-technical deadlines for agricultural work being carried out these days, and instructed to take a responsible approach to the successful fulfillment of the assignments.

Concluding the working meeting via digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health and great success in their work for the prosperity of the sovereign Homeland and the wellbeing of their people.
