Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which topical issues of state life and drafts of a number of documents aimed at further development of key sectors of national economy were considered.

Passing to the agenda of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan first gave the floor to Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G.Mammedova, who informed on the outcome of the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Almaty city (Republic of Kazakhstan) on March 28-29 for participation in the solemn meeting of the Council of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of member nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States devoted to the 30th anniversary of IPA CIS as well as events and meetings timed to this date.

During their visit to Almaty, the meeting of the delegation of Turkmenistan with Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at which issues of further development of inter-parliamentary links as an inseparable part of the traditional friendly good neighbourhood relations between the two countries were discussed, took place.

The head of Turkmenistan pointed out to the necessity of further expansion of inter-parliamentary relations capable of exchange of experience in the field of legislation, familiarization of international community with the historical practice and modern achievements of our country on its path of development as a democratic legal state.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet M.Muhammedov reported on the state of affairs in the sector under his supervision as well as on the work carried out for privatization of state property, development of the private sector, further implementation of the policy of growth of small and medium size business and enhancement of efficiency of management of state property.

In this regard, the information on the results of analysis carried out by the Ministry of Finance and Economy jointly with ministries, departments and khyakimliks of regions for denationalization and privatization of enterprises and properties was also delivered.

The proposals prepared in an established order were considered at meetings of the relevant inter-departmental commission. It was considered expedient to privatize a number of properties through auction sales and realize the share belonging to state institutions through the stock exchange. 

Having approved the proposal submitted, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov commissioned the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet to take further complex measures for successful implementation of the work outlined in this area.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Sh.Abdrahmanov reported on the outcome of the International forum on attraction of foreign investment to the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan.

Having summed up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that for development of one of the leading sectors of national economy, the fuel and energy complex large-scale projects are implemented and necessary conditions for further development of industrial capacities of the sector are created in our country.

On the margins of the meeting of the Government, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet E.Orazgeldiyev reported on the program activities for rational and efficient use of land resources.

The proposals on allotment of a total of 10 thousand 545, 22 hectares of land for permanent and temporary use to ministries, sectoral departments, khyakimliks and institutions and enterprises under their supervision for construction and industrial purposes with a view of successful implementation of the tasks outlined in state programs were submitted for consideration of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having summed up the report, the head of the state marked significance of the agro-industrial complex for dynamic growth of national economy and importance of regular improvement and expansion of measures to support agriculture and to realize projects for intensive development of crop and livestock sectors. As a whole, all this should facilitate the strengthening of food security and export potential of the country and systematic replacement of imported goods with local ones.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Ch. Purchekov reported on the work carried out in the country to increase in the assortment of construction goods. 

The Deputy-Chairman presented the proposal on adjustment of production of calcite with an annual capacity of 50 thousand tons in Koytendag district of Lebap region that will facilitate enrichment of the local market with high quality construction materials from local natural resources as well as creation of new working places for consideration of the head of the state.

Having heard the report, the head of Turkmenistan made an emphasis on necessity to develop the powerful construction industry in the country, which is fully capable of supplying local consumers with import replacing goods of high quality.

In his turn, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Ch.Gylyjov reported on preparation for the working program of events timed to the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country.

In this connection, it was informed that it is expected to hold the exhibition on April 12-13, at which over 200 members of the UIET specialized in various spheres will display their goods and achievements gained for this period. 

At the conference, which is also timed to this date, the new goals set before local entrepreneurs, in particular, the goals connected with introduction of innovative technologies, digital system and realization of measures for development of the private sector outlined in the National program for socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052 will be also discussed.

The Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet submitted for consideration of the head of the state the program of events timed to the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the Union.

Having approved the submitted plan of events and having given concrete instructions for organization of the upcoming exhibition and conference of the UIET at high level, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that the more opportunities are for expansion of activities of the private sector, the higher will be the pace of economic development of the country and its transition to the market relations.

Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet M.Mammedova reported on preparation for the upcoming cultural events in April, the current year devoted to significant dates of the month as well as opening ceremonies of social and cultural projects timed to them. 

In honour of the motto of the year «The epoch with Arkadag» conferences, round tables, meetings, briefings as well as online and agitation and propaganda events are planned to be held. 

The sports and cultural program on the occasion of the World Health Day has been developed.

In the same month, it is planned to hold the contest among folklore groups of the country under the title «Berkarar Watanyň folklor sungaty».

Besides it, the solemn event on the occasion of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse will be held.

Cultural events timed to upcoming ceremonies of opening of a number of significant projects will be also held.

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet S.Toylyev reported on preparation for the upcoming events timed to World Health Day to be held in Ashgabat on April 7, the current year. 

As was pointed out, declaration of June 3 as World Bicycle Day at the initiative of Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as well as unanimous adoption of the Resolution «The integration of bicycling into public transport systems for sustainable development» at the 61st plenary meeting of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on March 15 of the current year serve as a visual evidence of high accession and recognition of achievements of Turkmenistan in development of sports and physical and health movement by the international community. 

Along the route of mass cycle race, which will start from the Monument to «Bicycle», the performances of workers of art, music and dance groups will be held. 

Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Secretary of the State Security Council Ch. Amanov reported in the state of affairs in the subordinate institutions and practical measures taken for fulfilment of  provisions of the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan of March 24, 2022 “On discharge from the Armed Forces, other forces and military bodies servicemen, who do their military service by conscription and next conscription of citizens of the country”  and relevant Order.

Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers M.Chakyev reported on the draft of the Resolution on formation and approval of the staff of the Turkmen side of the Joint Turkmen-Azerbaijan commission for transport, transit and logistics issues.

Within the framework of realization of the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on establishment of the above-mentioned commission signed in Ashgabat on November 22, 2018 the proposal on approval of the staff of the Turkmen side of the commission was prepared.

The given document was submitted for consideration for the head of the state.

Having marked importance of adoption of relevant measures with a view of increase in transit cargo transportation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the submitted document and having sent it online, gave the head of the Agency a number of concrete instructions to this end.

Further, during his report, the director of the Agency reported on the planned construction of five four-storey residential houses of modern conveniences designed for 300 families in Turkmenbashi city of Balkan region for workers of transport and communications. 

It was informed that by the results of the tender held for construction of the given residential complex, the proposal of «Ynamly hyzmatdaşlar» economic society was chosen.

Further, the floor was given to head of the department for state protocol and international relations of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan S.Muhammetdurdyev, who reported on preparation for the state visit of the President of India to our country in early April. 

By the outcome of the high-level Turkmen-Indian talks, it is expected to sign a package of documents aimed at strengthening of standard legal basis of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and ensuring of reliable basis for its further expansion.

The program of the visit as well as cultural events that will enable the high guest and members of his delegation that accompany him to familiarize themselves with sights of the capital and the rich national heritage of Turkmen people was submitted for consideration of head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that one of the priority areas of the foreign policy realized in the life of our neutral fatherland aimed at constructive cooperation with all interested foreign partners is development of fruitful relations with countries of the Asian region, among which is the Republic of India.

Developing upon the given topic, the head of the state underlined importance of the planned high-level meetings in Ashgabat to facilitate dynamic development of the traditional Turkmen-Indian dialogue that is based upon age-old friendship and deep historical roots.

Further, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made an emphasis on the existing great potential for intensification of interstate cooperation in the economic sphere, increase in the foreign trade turnover and realization of promising joint projects.

Having summed up the said above, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov commissioned the relevant heads to ensure the high organizational level of preparation for the upcoming state visit of the President of the Republic of India to our country.

At the meeting of the Government, other important issues of state life, on which relevant decisions were adopted, were also considered.

Concluding the online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished all its participants sound health, family wellbeing and great successes in their work for the benefit of further progress of our fatherland.
