On September 30, 2026, a practical seminar was held via videoconference between representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic "Customs Control of Goods Transported in Transit." The aim of the event was to exchange experience between the customs authorities of the two neighboring countries on transit operations.

The seminar, organized at the Training Center of the World Customs Organization in Turkmenistan, was attended by 16 military personnel from relevant departments of the Central Apparatus of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the customs offices of Ashgabat, Arkadag, and Ahal region, as well as relevant customs posts.

During the seminar, the parties exchanged experience on modern methods of organizing customs control over transit goods transported across the borders of the two countries, the legal framework of documents issued at the customs border, and measures to expedite procedures.

Furthermore, the participants discussed issues regarding increasing the efficiency of international transit corridors and digitizing customs procedures at borders.
