From 14 to 18 December 2025, a delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, headed by Deputy Chairman Mr. M. Mukhammedov, paid a working visit to the Russian Federation.
During the visit, a meeting of the delegations was held, at which the current state and future prospects of bilateral customs cooperation were discussed.
Particular attention was given to the preparation and coordination of the Joint Action Plan for the further deepening and expansion of cooperation between the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan for 2026–2028. The Plan envisages enhanced cooperation in the areas of customs digitalisation, information exchange, law enforcement activities, and personnel training.
Within the framework of the visit programme, the delegation visited the Electronic Declaration Centre of the Moscow Customs, the Russian Customs Academy, as well as the Canine Centre of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, where it was acquainted with the practical experience of Russian customs authorities.
The activities carried out confirmed the mutual interest of the parties in further expanding practical cooperation and strengthening partnership relations between the customs services of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
